Summary
- We collect what you type into the contact form, and use it only to answer your request.
- Your message is not stored on our web server. It is sent straight to our business email.
- We don’t set cookies, and our analytics don’t use cookies either.
- We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
The contact form
When you send the form, we receive your name, phone number, email address, the service you chose, and your message. We use them to reply, to quote and schedule the work, and to keep a record of the job if you become a customer.
The form is delivered to our business email inbox through our email provider. Our web server holds the message only in memory for the moment it takes to send it; it is never written to disk there. If the email can’t be sent, the form tells you so and nothing is kept.
Our form service logs only the time of each submission and whether it was sent, rejected, or rate-limited — not your name, contact details, or message. To stop abuse, it remembers the IP address of recent submissions in memory for up to one hour.
Once your message is in our inbox, we keep it for 3 years, so we have a record of the request and any work that followed, and then delete it.
Visiting the site
Like almost every website, our web server records basic request details: your IP address, browser (user agent), the page requested, the referring page, and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure. They never contain anything you typed into the form, and they are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages are useful. It does not use cookies or local storage. It reports the page visited, the referring site, general browser and device type, approximate country, and page-load performance. Cloudflare states that it does not use this data to track individuals across sites. We only see totals.
Cookies
This site doesn’t set any cookies. See our cookie page for the details, including the security cookies Cloudflare may set in rare cases.
Who processes data for us
| Provider | What they do | What passes through them |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Delivers and protects the website; provides cookieless analytics | Every request to the site, including form submissions in transit |
| Our email provider (hostedemail) | Hosts our business mailbox | Contact-form messages and any email you send us |
Our web server itself runs on equipment we operate.
Devices you bring us
How we handle the files on a computer you leave with us is covered in our Terms of Service. In short: technicians access files only when reasonably necessary to do the work you asked for.
Sharing and selling
We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we don’t share it with advertisers. We share it only with the providers above so they can do their part, with a parts supplier or manufacturer when a warranty claim or order needs it (and only with your OK), or when the law requires it.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and it loads no third-party code apart from Cloudflare’s analytics script. If a breach ever affected your personal information, we would notify you as required by Alabama’s Data Breach Notification Act.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it — email us using the contact details below. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, such as invoices.
If you’d rather not use the form, you can call or text instead.
Children
This site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we’ll delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top.
